Terms and Conditions
Endometriosis Bootcamp 2027
Carlo Magno Hotel Spa & Resort, Campo Carlo Magno, Madonna di Campiglio, Italy
7 – 14 March 2027
Version 1.2 — effective 17th August 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 The Endometriosis Bootcamp (“the Bootcamp”, “the Course”) is organised jointly by CEMIG Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16154953] represented by Dr. Shaheen Khazali and Prof. Mario Malzoni (together “we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2 Organising secretariat. Delegate-facing administration for the Bootcamp is handled on our behalf by BLUEVENTS s.r.l., Via Giuseppe Sacconi 4b, 00196 Rome, Italy, P.IVA 07432121007, telephone +39 06 3630 4489 (“BLUEVENTS”), acting as our organising secretariat.
BLUEVENTS manages registration and the delegate database, issues invoices and collects payment, handles delegate correspondence and on-site administration, and deals with Italian VAT, tax and event compliance for the Course. It acts as our agent and, in respect of your personal data, as a processor on our instructions.
BLUEVENTS invoices delegates directly under its own Italian VAT registration and is responsible for the VAT treatment of the course fee. You should therefore expect your invoice, your payment instructions and your receipt to come from BLUEVENTS rather than from us. Payment made to BLUEVENTS in connection with your registration discharges your obligation to us in full to that extent, and correspondence you receive from BLUEVENTS about your registration, invoicing or payment should be treated as coming from us. Any question about your invoice or VAT should go to BLUEVENTS; any complaint about the Course itself should be raised with us under section 25.
1.3 These terms apply to your registration and attendance at the Bootcamp. By submitting a registration you confirm that you have read, understood and accept them. They form the whole of the agreement between you and us in respect of your place on the Course.
1.4 These terms do not cover your accommodation, your travel, or any skiing, ski hire, ski school or lift pass arrangements. Those are separate contracts between you and the relevant provider. See sections 7 and 13.
1.5 “You” and “your” mean the person named on the registration. Where an employer, institution or sponsor is paying your fee, you and they are jointly responsible for the fee, and you remain personally bound by these terms.
2. Registration and acceptance
2.1 Places on the Bootcamp are limited and registration is by application. Submitting the registration form is an offer to purchase a place; it does not by itself create a contract.
2.2 A contract is formed only when we send you a written confirmation of acceptance by email. Until then no place is held for you.
2.3 We may decline any application at our discretion, including where the Course is full, where the applicant’s background or level of practice is not a good fit for the programme, or where we consider acceptance inappropriate for any other reasonable ground. We are not obliged to give reasons. Where we decline an application, any payment taken will be refunded in full.
2.4 Where the Course is full we may offer you a place on the waiting list. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place and creates no obligation on either side.
2.5 Your place is personal to you. It may not be sold, advertised or transferred except as set out in section 9.
3. Course fee
3.1 The course fee per delegate is:
Registration date | Course fee | Italian VAT at 22% | Total payable |
On or before 25th October 2026 — early bird | €1,900 | €418 | €2,318 |
From 25th October 2026 — standard | €2,700 | €594 | €3,294 |
3.2 The early registration rate applies only where payment has been received by us in cleared funds on or before 20 October 2026. Submitting a registration form before that date without payment does not secure the early rate.
3.3 All fees are quoted and payable in euros (EUR). The course fee is stated exclusive of VAT. Italian VAT (IVA) at the rate in force, currently 22%, will be added and is payable in addition. The total payable column above shows the full amount you will be charged at the current rate. See section 5.
3.4 If the rate of Italian VAT changes before your invoice is issued, VAT will be charged at the rate in force on the date of the invoice and the total payable will change accordingly. The net course fee will not change.
3.5 We may close registration at any time once capacity is reached, including before 20 October 2026.
4. Payment
4.1 Payment is due on the date shown on your invoice, or immediately on registration where you pay by card. Invoices are issued and payment is collected by BLUEVENTS (section 1.2). We may release your place if payment is not received by the due date.
4.2 All payments must be made in full without deduction, set-off or withholding. You are responsible for any bank charges, intermediary bank fees, card surcharges or currency conversion costs. Where a transfer arrives net of charges, the shortfall remains payable by you.
4.3 Where your employer, institution or an industry sponsor is paying, you are responsible for ensuring they pay on time. Non-payment by a third party does not suspend your obligations under these terms, including the cancellation terms in section 8.
4.4 Payment must be received in full before the Course begins. We reserve the right to refuse admission where the fee is outstanding.
5. VAT and taxes
5.1 The Bootcamp takes place in Italy. Admission to an educational event is taxed in the country where the event is held. Italian VAT (IVA) therefore applies to the course fee for every delegate, wherever you or your institution are established, and whether you register as an individual or through a business.
5.2 The reverse charge does not apply to admission to events. We cannot zero-rate, exempt or reverse-charge your fee on the basis that you are established outside Italy or hold a VAT number in another country, and providing a foreign VAT number will not remove the Italian VAT.
5.3 If you are a business established outside Italy, you may be able to recover the Italian VAT through the EU VAT refund procedure or the 13th Directive procedure for non-EU businesses. That is a matter between you and your own tax authority. We will provide a valid Italian VAT invoice to support a claim, but we cannot make the claim for you and cannot guarantee it will succeed.
5.4 Your invoice will be issued by BLUEVENTS s.r.l. (P.IVA 07432121007), which is responsible for charging, collecting and accounting for Italian VAT on the course fee and for compliance with Italian invoicing and e-invoicing rules. Where you require the invoice to show your own VAT number, company name, billing address, *codice destinatario* or PEC address, you must provide those details at the point of registration. An invoice cannot be reissued with different payer details after payment has been made, and cannot be issued to a party other than the one that paid.
5.5 Any question about your invoice, the VAT charged, or a VAT refund claim should be directed to BLUEVENTS at the contact details in section 1.2.
5.6 You are responsible for any withholding tax, local tax or duty arising in your own country. Any such deduction does not reduce the amount owed, and any shortfall remains payable.
6. What the fee includes and excludes
6.1 Included
- All teaching and discussion sessions, Monday to Friday
- Refreshments during teaching sessions
- Course materials made available by the faculty
- A certificate of attendance
6.2 Not included
- Accommodation and meals
- Flights, airport transfers and all other travel
- Ski passes, ski hire, ski school and any other mountain activity
- Spa treatments and hotel extras
- Travel, cancellation and medical insurance
- Visa fees and associated costs
- Anything not expressly listed in 6.1
7. Accommodation
7.1 Accommodation is not included in the course fee and is not sold by us. You must book directly with the Carlo Magno Hotel Spa & Resort using the code bootcamp2027.
7.2 You must not book through third-party platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia or similar. Rooms booked through those channels sit outside our block, are usually more expensive, and may not be available to you at all during the Course week.
7.3 The Bootcamp is residential by design. The teaching, the discussion and most of the value of the week depend on faculty and delegates being in the same hotel. We therefore expect all delegates to stay at the Carlo Magno Hotel unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. [We reserve the right to decline or withdraw a registration where a delegate does not hold a confirmed booking within the Course room block.]
7.4 Your accommodation contract is between you and the hotel. The hotel’s own terms, deposit requirements, payment schedule and cancellation policy apply, and they are different from ours. Please read them. We are not a party to that contract, we are not your agent for it, and we have no liability for the hotel’s performance, its charges, its cancellation terms, the standard of the rooms or any other aspect of your stay.
7.5 Cancelling your course registration does not cancel your hotel booking, and cancelling your hotel booking does not cancel your course registration. You must deal with each separately.
8. Cancellation by you
8.1 The policy in short
When we receive your written cancellation | Refund |
On or before 13 October 2026 | Full refund, less an administration charge of 7% of the net course fee |
From 14 October 2026 | No refund |
The administration charge is €133 at the early rate and €189 at the standard rate.
8.2 Cancellation must be sent in writing to Bluevent. It takes effect on the date we receive it, not the date you send it. We will acknowledge every cancellation in writing; if you do not receive an acknowledgement within three working days, please assume we have not received it and contact us.
8.3 Refunds are made to the original payer, by the original payment method, in euros, normally within 21 days.
8.3a The administration charge is calculated on the net course fee excluding VAT and is itself subject to Italian VAT where chargeable. Where a refund is due, the Italian VAT you paid will be refunded or credited in full by BLUEVENTS by credit note, in accordance with Italian VAT rules.
8.3b We are not responsible for exchange rate movements between payment and refund, for the cost of converting euros into your own currency, or for bank and card processing fees, none of which are recoverable.
8.4 If you cancel and later wish to re-register, you will be charged the rate applicable on the date of re-registration, and a place cannot be guaranteed.
8.5 Non-attendance. If you do not attend, arrive late, or leave early for any reason, no refund or partial refund is due. The fee is for the place, not for the sessions attended.
8.6 Why the deadline is firm
We would rather explain this than simply assert it.
The Bootcamp is capped at a small number of places, and the format depends entirely on that cap. The refund deadline sits a week before early registration closes on 25th October. That is deliberate: if you give up your place by 13 October, we can still offer it to someone on the waiting list while the early rate is open, and nobody loses out. It is the last point in the year at which that is realistically possible.
After that, delegate numbers are confirmed to the hotel, rooms in the block are retained or released, faculty travel and honoraria are committed, and the teaching space and AV are contracted. From then on the cost of running the week is fixed whether or not every delegate travels, and a place given up in December or January cannot realistically be filled at that notice.
The 7% administration charge before 13 October reflects payment processing, banking and administrative costs already incurred on your registration, and the cost of re-offering your place. It is a cost recovery, not a penalty.
After 13 October the fee is non-refundable because, in practical terms, it has already been committed to your place. This is why we require you to hold travel insurance including cancellation cover (section 12). Insurance — not the course fee — is the right mechanism for personal circumstances that stop you travelling. Please arrange it at the point you register, not later.
8.7 Two ways out after 13 October
We would rather you had realistic alternatives than a hard wall. After 13 October:
(a) Send someone else. You may transfer your place to another suitably qualified colleague at no charge, subject to section 9.
(b) Waiting list resale. If you cancel and we are able to fill your place from the waiting list, we will refund your fee less the 7% administration charge. We will make reasonable efforts to do this but cannot guarantee it, and the refund is due only if and when a replacement delegate has paid in full.
8.8 Serious illness and compassionate circumstances
Where a delegate is prevented from attending by serious illness, injury or bereavement, we may at our sole discretion offer a credit towards a future Bootcamp, normally on production of supporting documentation. This is a discretion, exercised case by case; it is not a right and should not be relied on in place of insurance.
8.9 Delegates requiring a visa — the fee becomes non-refundable when we issue a letter
Where you require a visa or other entry authorisation and you ask us for a letter of invitation, confirmation of registration or any similar supporting document:
(a) We will issue it only once your course fee has been received in full and in cleared funds, and only where you declared a visa requirement at registration.
(b) From the moment we issue that document, your course fee is non-refundable in full, whatever the date and whatever happens subsequently. If the date is on or before 13 October 2026, the refund window in 8.1 stops applying to you from the date the letter is issued. This includes refusal of your visa, delay in processing, withdrawal of your application, refusal of entry at the border, and any change in immigration rules.
(c) The substitution right in section 9 continues to apply, so you may still transfer your place to a colleague.
This is not a judgement about you. Invitation letters for events in the Schengen Area are a known target for misuse, and the only way we can issue them promptly to genuine delegates is to make them worthless as a free option. If you would prefer to keep the refund window open until 13 October, simply do not request a letter until after that date. Please read section 15 before you request one.
9. Substitution and transfer
9.1 You may transfer your place to a colleague at any time up to 14 days before the Course starts, at no charge, provided that:
- you notify us in writing with the replacement delegate’s full details;
- the replacement delegate is suitably qualified and acceptable to us on the same basis as any other applicant (section 2.3);
- the replacement delegate accepts these terms in writing; and
- the fee is paid in full — if the original registration was at the early rate, the transfer is honoured at that rate.
9.2 Within 14 days of the Course start we may still accept a substitution but are not obliged to, and may charge a reasonable administration fee reflecting the cost of late changes.
9.3 A transferred place carries no separate refund right for the original delegate; any refund of the fee is a matter between you and your replacement.
9.4 Places may not be deferred to a future edition of the Bootcamp except where we expressly agree in writing.
10. Changes and cancellation by us
10.1 Programme and faculty. The programme, session content, timings and faculty are indicative and may change. Faculty rotate through the week and any individual may become unavailable through illness, clinical commitments or travel disruption. We will use reasonable efforts to provide a substitute of comparable standing. A change of faculty, programme or timetable does not entitle you to a refund, provided the Course substantially proceeds.
10.2 Minimum numbers. The Bootcamp requires a minimum number of delegates to run. If we decide not to proceed for that reason, we will tell you by 30 November 2026 and refund your course fee in full.
10.3 Cancellation by us. If we cancel the Course for any reason other than force majeure, we will offer you, at your option, a full refund of the course fee or a transfer to the rescheduled or next edition.
10.4 Change of dates or venue. If we have to move the Course to different dates or a different venue, we will tell you as soon as possible. If the change is material and the new arrangements do not work for you, you may cancel within 14 days of our notice and receive a full refund of the course fee.
10.5 Your other costs. In every case under this section, and under section 11, our responsibility is limited to the course fee. We are not liable for your flights, accommodation, ski passes, ski hire, ski school, transfers, visa costs, insurance premiums, lost clinical income, or any other expenditure you have incurred, whether or not those costs are recoverable from your own insurers. Please buy insurance that covers them.
11. Force majeure
11.1 We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include, without limitation:
- epidemic, pandemic, public health emergency and any associated government restriction, quarantine or travel ban;
- war, civil unrest, terrorism, or credible threat of any of these;
- fire, flood, earthquake, storm, avalanche, extreme weather, adverse or insufficient snow conditions, and closure of the resort, lifts or access roads;
- strike, industrial action, air traffic control disruption, airline or airport failure, and other transport disruption;
- failure of the venue, loss of the venue, or the hotel’s insolvency or inability to perform;
- failure of utilities, telecommunications or IT infrastructure;
- act of government, change of law, border closure or refusal of entry at a national level;
- our own insolvency is expressly not a force majeure event.
11.2 Where a force majeure event prevents the Course from running, we will, at our discretion and acting reasonably, either:
(a) postpone the Course and transfer your registration to the new dates; or
(b) issue a credit valid against the next edition; or
(c) refund the course fee, less any costs already irrecoverably committed to your place, which we will itemise if you ask.
11.3 Where a force majeure event affects the Course but it substantially proceeds — for example, poor snow, partial lift closure, the loss of some faculty, or a reduced social programme — the Course will be treated as delivered and no refund is due. Skiing is not part of the taught programme and its availability is not a condition of the contract.
11.4 If you are personally unable to travel because of a force majeure event that does not prevent the Course from running — for example your own flight is cancelled, or your own country restricts departure — section 8 applies as normal, and you should claim on your insurance.
12. Insurance — mandatory
12.1 It is a condition of attendance that you hold, for the whole period of your travel, insurance which covers as a minimum:
- cancellation and curtailment for the full value of your course fee, accommodation and travel;
- emergency medical treatment and hospitalisation abroad;
- winter sports, including off-piste where relevant to your intended activity;
- mountain rescue, helicopter evacuation and repatriation;
- personal liability;
- personal accident, and loss or damage to equipment.
12.2 Please check the winter sports cover specifically. Many standard travel policies exclude it, apply a low day limit, exclude off-piste skiing or skiing outside marked pistes, exclude skiing without a helmet, and exclude any incident involving alcohol.
12.3 We may ask you to confirm your insurer and policy number before the Course. We do not check or approve policies, and confirming your details to us is not an endorsement of the cover you have bought. Adequate cover remains your responsibility.
12.4 You should also hold a valid GHIC/EHIC or equivalent where eligible. This is not a substitute for insurance and does not cover mountain rescue or repatriation.
13. Skiing, snowboarding and mountain activity
Please read this section carefully.
13.1 Skiing and snowboarding are not part of the taught programme and are not organised, supervised, led, instructed or supplied by us. They are a recreational activity you undertake in your own time, in your own name, and entirely at your own risk.
13.2 Skiing, snowboarding and mountain travel carry inherent risks including serious injury and death, arising from terrain, weather, snow conditions, avalanche, altitude, collision with other users, and the acts of third parties. You accept those risks voluntarily.
13.3 Lift passes, equipment hire, ski school and instruction are provided by independent third parties under their own contracts and terms. Where we or the hotel assist by introducing you to a provider or collecting a group booking, we act only as an introducer, receive no responsibility for their performance, and are not their agent. Any complaint lies against that provider.
13.4 You are responsible for honestly assessing your own ability, for choosing terrain within it, for skiing within the resort’s rules and the FIS conduct rules, for wearing a helmet, and for stopping when conditions, fatigue or your own judgement say you should. Sessions run in the afternoons and into the evening; you are expected to arrive able to participate.
13.5 We are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your participation in skiing, snowboarding or any other recreational or mountain activity, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded (see section 24.1).
13.6 If you are injured, we will of course do what we reasonably can to help you get assistance — but that is a matter of collegiality, not a contractual obligation, and does not create liability on our part.
14. Health, fitness and altitude
14.1 The venue sits at approximately 1,650 metres and the programme combines physical activity with long teaching days. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that you are fit to participate.
14.2 You should tell us in advance, in confidence, of any medical condition, allergy, dietary requirement, accessibility need or medication that we or the hotel may need to know about. We will use that information only for the purpose of accommodating you safely and will share it only as necessary.
14.3 We are not responsible for the medical care of delegates and do not provide medical cover, on or off the mountain.
15. Visas, passports and entry
Please read this section carefully. Immigration is entirely your responsibility and carries no refund.
15.1 You are solely responsible for your passport, visa, ETIAS authorisation where applicable, and every other document required to enter Italy and the Schengen Area, and for meeting any health, insurance or entry requirement in force at the time of travel. You are responsible for applying in good time and for the accuracy and completeness of your application.
15.2 No refund, in any circumstances. The course fee is not refundable, in whole or in part, on immigration grounds. This applies without exception to:
- refusal of a visa or entry authorisation, for any reason;
- delay in processing, or an appointment date that falls too late to travel;
- withdrawal, abandonment or non-submission of an application;
- refusal of entry, or removal, at the border or on arrival;
- expiry, loss, damage or invalidity of a passport or travel document;
- any change in immigration rules, quotas, fees or processing times.
We have no control over any of this, we are not consulted on it, and we cannot influence it. From 14 October 2026 the course fee is non-refundable in any event, and where we have issued a supporting document section 8.9 applies and the fee is non-refundable from that date, whatever the date.
15.3 Letters of confirmation of registration. We may, at our absolute discretion, issue a letter of confirmation of registration. We are under no obligation to do so, we may decline without giving reasons, and we may withdraw a letter already issued if we have grounds for concern. Any letter will be issued only after your fee has been received in full and in cleared funds, only to the delegate personally, and only where you declared a visa requirement at registration.
15.4 Any letter we issue confirms nothing more than that you have registered and paid for a place. It is not a visa, not a guarantee that a visa will be granted, not sponsorship, not an offer of employment or training, not a financial guarantee, and not an undertaking of any kind to any immigration authority. We accept no responsibility for your travel, your maintenance, your accommodation, your conduct, your medical costs, or your departure from the Schengen Area.
15.5 We will not issue letters for accompanying persons, family members, colleagues who are not registered delegates, or anyone other than the paying delegate. We will not name additional travellers, alter dates, overstate the duration of the Course, misstate what the fee covers, or amend a letter to suit an application.
15.6 Verification and reporting. We may verify any application, including by contacting the hospital or institution named on it and by requiring correspondence from an institutional email address. Where an immigration authority, embassy, consulate or border force asks us to confirm whether a person is a registered delegate, whether they paid, and whether they attended, we will answer truthfully, and you consent to our doing so. We may report suspected misuse of a supporting document to the relevant authorities on our own initiative.
15.7 Where we have reasonable grounds to believe that a registration was made in order to obtain a supporting document rather than to attend the Course, we may cancel the registration and refuse admission. No refund is due, and we may notify the relevant authorities.
15.8 Insurance. Some travel insurance policies cover visa refusal, and some do not. If this is a risk for you, buy a policy that covers it before you submit your application. That is the only protection available to you, and it is not something we can provide.
16. Educational content and professional responsibility
16.1 The Bootcamp is continuing professional education for qualified clinicians. It is a forum for discussion and debate among peers.
16.2 Content presented by faculty or delegates represents the views and practice of the individual speaker. It is not clinical guidance, protocol, a standard of care, or a recommendation endorsed by us, by the faculty collectively, or by any institution with which they are associated. Techniques discussed may be off-label, may reflect an individual’s personal series, and may not be appropriate or licensed in your own jurisdiction.
16.3 You remain solely and fully responsible for your own clinical practice. Any decision to adopt, adapt or apply anything discussed at the Bootcamp is a matter for your own independent professional judgement, your own training and credentialling, your own institution’s governance, and the law and regulation applicable where you practise. You must satisfy yourself as to safety, indication, consent, competence and local approval before applying any technique to a patient.
16.4 The certificate issued is a certificate of attendance only. It does not certify competence, does not qualify you to perform any procedure, and must not be presented as evidence of surgical credentialling.
16.5 We give no warranty that the Course will meet any particular training requirement, CPD, CME, curriculum or revalidation need. If you are attending to satisfy a specific requirement, please check with us and with your own authority before registering.
17. Case presentations, patient data and confidentiality
17.1 Delegates may be invited to present cases. If you do, you are responsible for ensuring that all patient-identifiable information is fully anonymised before presentation, including in imaging, video, operative footage, pathology and documents. Remove names, dates of birth, hospital numbers, dates and any identifying feature or metadata.
17.2 You are responsible for obtaining any patient consent and any institutional or ethical approval required for the use of the material, and for complying with the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and any equivalent law applicable to you.
17.3 You warrant that you have the right to present the material and that doing so infringes no third-party right. You indemnify us against any claim, loss, fine or cost arising from a breach of this section.
17.4 We may decline to allow, or may stop, any presentation that we consider poses a confidentiality, consent or safety concern.
18. Chatham House Rule, recording and photography
18.1 Teaching and discussion sessions run under the Chatham House Rule: you are free to use what you learn, but you may not identify or attribute what was said to any individual, or the institution they come from, without their express permission. The value of this week depends on people speaking candidly about cases that did not go well. Please protect that.
18.2 You may not photograph, audio record, video record, screen-capture, live-stream or broadcast any session, slide, operative video or case material, and you may not post session content to social media, without our prior written permission.
18.3 We may photograph and film the Bootcamp for our own promotional and archival purposes, and you may appear incidentally. If you would prefer not to appear, tell us in writing before the Course starts or tell the photographer on the day, and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate you. We will not use images of you in a way that implies personal endorsement of any commercial product.
19. Intellectual property
19.1 All course materials, slides, videos, handouts and recordings remain the property of us or the relevant faculty member. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own professional education only.
19.2 You may not copy, distribute, publish, upload, resell or use any material for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission from the owner.
19.3 “Endometriosis Bootcamp” and the associated logo are our marks and may not be used without our written consent.
20. Industry sponsorship and transparency
20.1 The Bootcamp may receive support from industry. Any sponsor will be disclosed. Sponsorship does not give any sponsor control over the scientific programme, the selection of faculty or the content of any session, and no sponsor’s support implies our endorsement of its products.
20.2 Where your attendance is funded by a company, you and that company are responsible for compliance with all applicable transparency, anti-bribery and industry codes (including, as relevant, the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice, the ABPI Code, the Sunshine Act and any local equivalent), and for any disclosure or reporting they require. We will provide the documentation reasonably needed for that, but compliance is not our responsibility.
20.3 We will not share your details with any sponsor unless you have given separate, specific consent.
21. Conduct
21.1 We expect the ordinary standards of professional and collegiate behaviour. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, breach of confidentiality, and behaviour that endangers others on the mountain or disrupts the programme are not acceptable.
21.2 We may exclude any delegate from the Course, the venue or any associated activity for a serious or persistent breach of this section, or where their conduct puts others at risk. No refund is due in those circumstances, and you remain liable for any cost we incur as a result.
21.3 You are responsible for your own conduct at the hotel and in the resort and for any damage you cause. The hotel may charge you directly.
22. Accompanying persons
22.1 Partners and family are welcome in the resort and are warmly encouraged, but they may not attend teaching or discussion sessions.
22.2 Accompanying persons are not covered by these terms, are not registered delegates, and must arrange their own accommodation, insurance, lift passes and activities. [Some social events may be open to accompanying persons at an additional charge — details will be circulated before the Course.]
23. Data protection
23.1 CEMIG Ltd and Prof. Mario Malzoni are joint data controllers for the personal data you provide. BLUEVENTS s.r.l. acts as our processor for registration, payment and delegate administration, under a written processing agreement.
23.2 We collect the data on the registration form in order to assess your application, administer your place, plan the programme around the experience levels in the room, and communicate with you about the Course. Our lawful bases are performance of the contract with you and our legitimate interests in running the Bootcamp.
23.3 We will share your name and dates with the hotel where necessary, and with faculty where relevant to session planning. We will not share your data with sponsors or any other third party for marketing without your specific consent.
23.4 A delegate list (name, institution, country) may be circulated to delegates and faculty to support the collegiate aim of the week. Tell us if you would prefer to be omitted.
23.5 We will keep your data for SIX years after the Course for accounting and legal purposes, and will hold your contact details for information about future Bootcamps only where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
23.6 You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them, contact [EMAIL]. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or, if you are in the EU, to your own national supervisory authority.
24. Our liability
24.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
24.2 Subject to 24.1, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with your registration and attendance is limited to the course fee you have paid.
24.3 Subject to 24.1, we are not liable for:
- loss of profit, revenue, clinical income or opportunity;
- travel, accommodation, transfer, lift pass, hire or other costs, whether wasted or additional;
- loss or damage to personal property, equipment or valuables at the venue or in the resort;
- the acts, omissions or insolvency of the hotel, airlines, transfer operators, ski schools, hire shops, lift companies, restaurants or any other third party;
- any indirect or consequential loss.
24.4 We are not liable for any clinical decision, outcome, complication, claim or regulatory consequence arising from your application of anything discussed at the Bootcamp. See section 16.3.
24.5 These limits apply however the liability arises, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
25. Complaints
If something is wrong, please raise it with us during the Course so we have a chance to put it right. If that is not possible, write to Bluevents within 28 days of the Course ending, setting out the problem. We will acknowledge within five working days and respond substantively within 28 days.
26. Consumer information
26.1 Most delegates register in a professional or business capacity, in which case consumer protection legislation does not apply.
26.2 Where you register as a consumer, please note that the statutory 14-day right to cancel a distance contract does not apply to contracts for the supply of services related to leisure activities which provide for a specific date or period of performance. The Bootcamp is such a contract. The cancellation rights set out in section 8 apply instead.
26.3 Nothing in these terms affects any statutory right you have which cannot be excluded by agreement.
27. General
27.1 Entire agreement. These terms, together with our written confirmation of your place, form the entire agreement between us and supersede any previous discussion, email or marketing material. Nothing on our website or in our promotional material forms part of the contract unless repeated here.
27.2 Variation. We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you register is the version that applies to you, unless a change is needed to comply with law. We will notify registered delegates of any material change.
27.3 Severability. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continues in force and the offending provision is to be read as narrowly as necessary to make it enforceable.
27.4 No waiver. A failure or delay in enforcing any term is not a waiver of it.
27.5 Third parties. Faculty members may enforce sections 17, 18 and 19 to the extent they protect their own material. Otherwise no third party has any right to enforce these terms.
27.6 Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms other than by substitution under section 9. We may assign or novate this agreement to a successor organiser of the Bootcamp on notice to you.
27.7 Notices. Notices to us must be sent to Bluevents. Notices to you will be sent to the email address on your registration. It is your responsibility to keep that address current.
27.8 Language. These terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience and the English version prevails.
28. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
